Rebuilt into a true reference-level cinema!
The client wanted more than an equipment upgrade – they wanted their beloved 2007 theater rebuilt into a true reference-level cinema. Working within the existing footprint, every aspect of the system had to be re-engineered to RP-22 standards, requiring structural changes, acoustical redesign, and a complete refresh of finishes and seating.
Our process began with a full system redesign, relocating speakers and subwoofers to achieve uniform SPL across all seats. The former back bar area was transformed into hidden acoustically treated storage, while ductwork, plumbing, and framing were rerouted to allow Atmos channels and projector placement in their ideal positions. The result was a space that balanced cutting-edge performance with architectural harmony.
The Regal Theater is now a multi-generational centerpiece – a space where technology disappears and family connection takes center stage. The design achieved true reference performance, while also creating a warm and inviting environment for daily use.
The final result is a reference-level private cinema that blends world-class technology with timeless design. With a touch of a button, the space transforms into a fully immersive experience – complete with Dolby Atmos surround, brilliant HDR imagery from a 15,000-lumen laser projector, and a star ceiling that delights every guest. The clients now enjoy a theater that exceeds their original expectations and has become the centerpiece of family life.
